We arrived at Hollywood studios early- this park is busy and every ride ends up with a long wait. Lightning lane is also tricky to use here because the time slots fill up fast. We managed to ride Slinky Dog and Smugglers Run before the park even opened, so our day was off to a great start!
Tess wasn’t sure how she felt about the Millennium Falcon.
Max and Ben were excellent pilots though.
We did a rider switch for Aerosmith’s Rockin Roller Coaster, and Tess loved hanging out with the cars and dancing to their music while she waited.
Grace did this one twice in a row. As you can see, I was clearly unprepared for takeoff.
The girls and I went to the Disney Junior Play and Dance show while the boys walked through Star Wars Launch Bay. Tess and Grace loved this, even though I couldn’t convince them to stand up and dance.
Tower of Terror was the only ride I couldn’t snag a Lightning Lane for, but the bigger kids still wanted to ride it. So while they did that, Tess and I grabbed a bubble wand (which is a great park toy, btw. It’s so fun to play with or help pass the time, and they sell bubble refills in every park) and then watched the Frozen Sing A-Long and got showered with bubble “snow”.
We met the others and made our way to Toy Story Mania.
I’m thinking Tess didn’t really understand the concept of this game- she was content to just watch the activities and enjoy the ride.
We went back to Galaxy’s Edge for Rise of the Resistance. But first, we had blue milk. Here’s another Disney tip: unless you are in the 1% of people who actually enjoy paper straws, bring your own plastic ones.
We did another rider switch, and it was Claire’s turn for the bonus ride with me.
Our last ride was Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, which ended up being Tessa’s favorite ride (as you’ve probably picked up, she does not like loud noises. And most rides are pretty loud. Hence why she’s covering her ears on 95% of the rides).
Looking like a tired, disheveled mess after another fun, full day!
