For me, the first 10 minutes of our tubing adventure were about as relaxing as swimming with piranhas.
Tessa was not happy with her life jacket, or the tube, or the water, or life in general and I figured the next two hours were probably going to be the longest of my life.
Thankfully Ben stepped in and swapped Grace for Tessa, and worked his magical calming powers on her. And she was great the rest of the time. PRAISE.
The only problem was that Grace was not on board with this swap, and this is how she felt about being paired up with an already stressed out mom.
Awesome.
But then Mother Nature intervened, and we had some fun rapids, a shallow area where we stopped to jump off rocks, swim in the water, and hunt for special rocks….and all was right in Gracie-land once again.
And the rest of our tubing adventure was actually very enjoyable.
Our little thrill-seekers loved jumping off rocks again.
Elijah and MacKenzie were total rock stars…they LOVED tubing!
No injuries (or children left behind) while tubing = successful Day 3.
