We love our garden. We especially love going down there in the evenings, except for the 29 mosquito bites I acquire each time we do that. I’ve been bathing in bug spray and wearing pants the last few evenings, however in an attempt to ward them off.
Last year our garden didn’t do well. We put in all this time and effort coddling those plants and they refused to cooperate. Except for the watermelon. They are always good sports.
They look like a crazy hot mess, but we pick cherry tomatoes every day. There are so may of them.
Our bigger tomatoes are there- but they take their sweet time to turn red.
We’ve also been enjoying lots of broccoli, zucchini, and cucumbers.
Still waiting on the peppers and sweet potatoes. But we appreciate the sweet potatoes giving us some cute purple flowers while we wait.
And we have lots of funny-looking carrots to pull.
I think we counted about 20 little watermelons growing. They love us.
We should have plenty of potatoes too.
We also pick raspberries every day. Most of them usually get eaten before we get back to the house, however.
Pumpkins do not like me. I’ve tried growing them for years and they always look so promising and get everyone excited only to become rotten at the end. Maybe the 6th times a charm?
Some of us also enjoy meditating by the garden as well.
