No one gets more excited for their birthday to arrive than this girl. She starts counting down about 3 months out.
She decided she wanted a luau theme this year, for both her family party and her friends. 
Claire and Grace both crocheted her favorite animals.
And the rest of the day we did all her favorite things. 
It was a beautiful and fun day!
A few weeks later, we had another perfectly sunny and hot day to celebrate again with her friends. 
Grace and Maggie were my party helpers- the girls loved them!
They swam, they ate, they swam, they had cake, and then they swam some more. 
And Tess decided that turning nine was pretty fine.
