Grace was so excited for her birthday. Making countdowns, drawing signs, non-stop-talking-about-it kind of excited. Her birthday was right in the middle of us dealing with a lot of Tessa’s fluid complications from surgery, but thankfully we were still able to make the day special and do all the things she had hoped to do. The biggest being sitting on the saddle at Texas Roadhouse while everyone cheered for her. Girlfriend enjoys applause.
All the decorations were ready, along with her favorite donuts and cinnamon rolls.
She was so happy.
She was dying to tackle her presents before school, but did save one gift for Ben to watch her open later.
She had the best day ever at school, and then we headed to Roadhouse for dinner. And they wheeled over the glorious saddle.
It was almost everything she was hoping it would be: she would have preferred to stay up on the saddle for juuuuuust a little bit longer. 😉
On the way home from dinner, we stopped at our favorite Christmas house where the lights dance to the music. It was beautiful out, and the girls had the best view.
We came home for the last present (a pair of gold sparkly high heels of course), a pinatagram from Aunt Kel, and some cake.
She declared it to be the best birthday ever. 💜
This past weekend she had a couple of friends over for a little Bluey birthday party.
They danced to the Bluey theme song, made bracelets, decorated gingerbread houses, consumed their weight in sugar, enjoyed the fresh snow, and played, played, and played some more.
Grace had the best days, and it was so fun celebrating her!
