The evening we decided to set up the tree, we were pleasantly surprised with an unexpected snow shower. Throw in some Christmas candles and Michael Buble and we had the perfect setting for some festive fun.

Sadly, my days of finding 18 ornaments hung on one branch are over. Tess branched out this year (literally), and found different spots all over the tree for her ornaments. Yes, several of those spots are the very bottom branches, but this year she spaced them out.

Meanwhile, Max was on a mission to hang the highest ornament.

Mission accomplished.
And sure, 70% of the lights on our âpre-litâ tree donât work anymore, itâs filled with more hand-made/cartoon ornaments than pretty ones, Iâm not really sure how I feel about the white faux fur I added throughout the tree, and maybe someone dropped the whole bag of glass icicles on the hard floorâŠ

but we made some fun memories, and thatâs all that matters, right?

The next day the kids set up their little trees in their bedrooms, so they have the most festive nightlight.

And I firmly believe you just canât have too many twinkling lights this time of year.
The most perfect tree
Cherish the memories!
Looks beautiful! I so miss those days
