I so enjoyed reading what everyone was feeling thankful for last week- and it’s so good for my mind and my soul to just sit and think about the GOOD things that are happening right now. So here we go again with another round “Thankful Thursday”.
1. A summerish day.
Tuesday was beautiful. It was warm and sunny, and we spent the entire day outside. The kids were barefoot and dirty and the younger two were completely exhausted by dinnertime…but it was totally worth it, because now we’re back in cold temperatures and we made the most of that one day.
2. Our teachers.
They are working so hard to keep us informed, give us all the resources we need, be available for assistance, keep in touch with the kids, and offer encouragement during this unprecedented time. They are easy-going, understanding, and staying positive, which is helpful for everyone. It’s definitely not an easy situation for them, and I so appreciate all their efforts.
3. Answered prayer.
Tessa’s malformations haven’t given her any problems for awhile…until a couple weeks ago. One of the portions became very swollen, firm, and painful for her. In the past when this happened, it usually ended with her needing a procedure. Obviously her doctors don’t want her to come to Mayo right now, so we were communicating with them through pictures and phone calls. They put her on an antibiotic, which didn’t seem to help at all. If she even bumped that area in the slightest, it would make her cry. We did our best to keep her activity level down, but that’s not always easy with an active three year old. So we did what we’ve always done where Tessa is concerned: we prayed. And once again, our prayers were answered. The swelling came down, the pain subsided, and we were able to keep her at home.❤️

First of all, that picture of tessa is precious – her CURLS 😍. And how INCREDIBLE to hear about that answered prayer. Today I’m thankful for spring weather, and spending extra time Outside & active lately.
THat all sounds so nice…I seriously can’t wait until we can be outside everyday!

Oh that girl and those curls! So thankful for answered prayers. I love the chalk designs with the tape, I think those come out looking so cool!
Also thankful for ultrasounds, a healthy growing baby boy, and extra down time and sleep before my life is changed forever! <3
