I feel like everyone’s What’s Up Wednesday answers are going to look somewhat similar, as we are all facing similar circumstances right now. Nevertheless, I’m always up for reading about what’s happening with other people…especially right now, when I think we all enjoy reading about things other than what is happening in our world.
What we’re eating this week:
M- Ham, homemade mac & cheese
T- Steak
W- Chicken empanadas
Th- Homemade ravioli
F- Leftovers/breakfast/whatever
S- pizza
What I’m reminiscing about:
Pre-corona days when we were able to go places and do things with people.
What I’m loving:
All of the memes. With all the anxiety/stress/fear/uncertainty that is surrounding us everywhere we turn, it feels good to see something funny and laugh.
What we’ve been up to:
A little bit of schooling, a little bit of cleaning, a little bit of playing, a little bit of games/puzzles/forts/snacks/movies/all the things.
what I’m working on:
A fun little update in Grace’s room. Will hopefully share soon. 😏
What I’m dreading:
There’s just…..so much stuff right now. So many emotions, so many feelings. I’m reminded again of how thankful I am that I can place it all at the feet of Jesus. “Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7.
What I’m excited about:
I talked about it earlier this week- being given the gift of more time is something that has made me excited, in the midst of a troubling time.
What I’m watching/reading:
Frozen 2 is still going strong around here. And for the bigger people, The Rise of Skywalker. Other movies we’re looking forward to that will be available soon: Onward, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Dolittle. I’m currently reading this book. I love Carrie Underwood, and have been enjoying it so far.
What I’m listening to:
We love the Christian Workout Radio station on Pandora. I listen to this while I’m exercising, and the kids like to have it on while they are doing their things around the house. Can’t go wrong with uplifting, upbeat music.
What I’m wearing:
Leggings and sweatshirts. All day, every day, all the time. Here are my favorites:
What I’m doing this weekend:
I don’t think animals fall into the “less than 10 people and 6 feet away” category, so we are still planning on visiting our favorite horse riding location on Saturday. Bonus, there are now baby kittens to hold.
What I’m looking forward to next month:
Warmer weather, Easter, more sunshine, Max’s birthday, putting away our winter gear, getting the garden ready, and {hopefully} the end of quarantine.

The memes definitely make me laugh (oK probably more like smile since I’m not one to laugh out loud much.. but you get my point). That one about the jeans really made me grin though. I have been wearing jeans… But I’m a homeschooling mom and I’m used to spending more time at home than most families . Though I really do miss the human contact with our homeschooling groups several times a week. I’ve been a stay at home mom for almost a full 16 years now and I learned early on that getting dressed helps my mental health in a way comfy clothes and pj’s all day just can’t. (Not that I adhere to it every day as I can not resist a comfy day now and then).

Yes, I’m sure you’re missing the homeschooling groups! Such a different time for all of us right now. Hang in there!

I’m late in catching up with my WUW reading.
I am loving all the quarantine memes — they just make this time so much easier for me!
And I am so ready to put away our winter gear…
