Tomorrow is the start of our spring break and we are {gulp} flying amidst the coronavirus mayhem.
The girls and I are headed to my sister’s for her baby shower and we are stocked with Clorox wipes, hand sanitizers, gloves, and prayers. It’s fine. We’re all fine. But first, I thought I’d share a few tips for traveling with kids. And yes, when you fly solo with little ones you not only push the stroller and haul a suitcase, but you also have a giant carseat bag on your back. And if you need to go up a ramp, for a brief moment you may think you’re going to collapse and die, but trust me- you won’t. We’ve been using the carseat bag pictured above for the past 11 years, and it doesn’t have one single tear in it. Is it big and bulky? Yes, but at least your carseat is safe inside. And you’ll also close your exercise ring by the time you haul that bag to the check in desk.
The kids each carry on a little backpack with their iPad, headphones, small pillow, snacks, books, and a few little activities. To help with ear pain, I pack little lollipops for them to suck on- it works like a charm.I carry the backpack diaper bag that I use every day. This bag is my absolute favorite. It’s not big or bulky, it holds everything that I need, it has a back security pocket, there’s a little insulted pocket inside, as well as outside pockets for drinks. If you’re in the market for a diaper bag, I’d HIGHLY recommend this one!
While packing for a trip, I use these storage cubes to help keep everyone’s clothes in order. They make it easy for everyone to find what they need without making a mess of the suitcase.
Well, we’re excited to enjoy some girl time while the boys have their own fun. And hopefully we all come home with souvenirs that are not in the form of a virus. We’ll see you back here on the 23rd!

This virus is killing the vibes! I wouldn’t be surprised if the airport here isn’t busy, but hey, less germs! 🙂
Will keep these travel tips in mind for the near future 🙂
