I kinda can’t even believe I’m saying this, but a couple weeks ago Claire went to prom and loved it.
My shorts and t-shirt wearing, no time for make up, sports loving, ponytail for days girl actually found a dress and accessories she loved. She got her nails done. She wore sparkly high heels. She had her hair and makeup done. And she looked absolutely beautiful.
She and her friends decorated for the grand march, and I did a few balloons. 
Claire and Amelia got ready at our house, and then the rest of their group came over for pictures. 
Unfortunately, Claire’s date ended up having an unexpected event that he needed to attend, so she just went with her friends….but she was the only one without a date. They were all so sweet to her though!

They all went out to eat, and then we met them at the high school for the grand march. Claire walked with Amelia, who thought it was fun to walk twice. 😏
After grand march they headed to the dance. I went home with the girls, got them ready for bed, and then went back to the school to help with after prom, which STARTED at 11. That’s right, it was just getting started when I would normally be asleep in my bed. Cue all the coffee/Bubblr/Red Bull.
There were inflatables, games, laser tag, prizes, food, a hypnotist, and so many other activities to keep the kids occupied until 2:30 am. They all went home with cash, treats, shirts, and several prizes. It was such a fun night!
I managed to stay awake, and even raced this girl in that gigantic inflatable obstacle course. Spoiler alert: she smoked me.
And while it may have taken my 43 year old self several days to recover from staying up that late, it was 100% worth it to spend that time with her. ❤️
I will NEVER get over Claire at prom 🤩 tshirt and pony or a dress and heels, she’s a beauty either way. Looks like such a fun night! Even if you had to hold your eyelids open with toothpicks 🥱
