Day two started off at the Goldfield Ghost Town.
We toured a mine, and Max’s head was well protected. The kids loved learning about the “honey wagon”, which featured side-by-side toilets.
We also went in a crooked house, which was such a crazy experience!
We had lunch and took a train ride.
And then we rode on the zip line, which was really fun and gave incredible views!
Of course we had to do some gem mining while visiting a mining town.
We walked around and looked in all the shops, got some delicious fudge,
and put the kids in a bird cage for awhile.
Before heading back to the house, we again stopped for some ice cream. Because it’s vacation and that’s what we do.
It was such a sunny, hot afternoon so we enjoyed lots of swimming and pickle-balling,
and checking out the new gems.
The big kids would usually spend their evenings playing games and then watching a movie in the theater room. Vacation life is a good life.
