Our little town had it’s annual River Days celebration a couple weekends ago.
We played a few games,
ate all the food, 
collected too much candy at the parade,
got plastered with water balloons from that little stinker on the float (Claire was hiding on the other side), 
saw animals,
made big bubbles,
watched a water ski show,
and desperately tried to keep these balloon animal friends alive in 25 mph winds. 
The following week, we had a different kind of river days as we received lots of rain and watched our river start to rise.
We decided to play it safe and took out our boat and jet skis. But we got in one last ride and rode them home on the trailer.
The kids really wanted to swim in the current, so we attached them to ropes and let them jump off the dock to cap off our redneck river fun.

Riding jet skis on a trailer sure must be fun! At least you didn’t get wet!
