Tough Like Tessa

This is probably one of my all time favorite pictures.  Look at the joy on that little face- no fear, no sadness, no worries.  Just living her best life.

Tessa was sick all last week with a stomach virus.  She was throwing up everything  (to the point of throwing up blood) for 6 days.  She was miserable, and we were just praying that the virus would end before it came to the point of hospitalization.  Her malformation involves her lymphatic system, which aids the body in fighting illnesses.  She is also on a medication that is an immunosuppressant.  This results in her body having a harder time than normal to fight off a sickness.

Once again, Tessa had many people praying for her to get better.  Just when we were down to the last straw, her body slowly started showing signs of improvement.  Little by little our happy, silly, carefree girl returned.  And we thanked God for allowing us to keep our hospital-free streak going. 

Next up for our CLOVES warrior is a trip to Mayo in a few weeks for a check up with her doctors.  Until that time, we’ll continue to pray that she remains healthy and can keep living her busy, joy-filled life!
